Tool Description:

Low level algorithm template drivers designed to operate with Intel legacy flash components as well as Intel's newest CFI (Common Flash Interface) enabled devices.

Tool Features:

  • Supports Basic Command Set (BCS) functions such as Read, Program, and Erase

  • Supports advanced Scaleable Command Set (SCS) functions including buffer writes, block locking, and program and erase suspends

  • CFI allows OEMs to add support now for both current and future flash devices and allows easy interoperability among devices

  • Specifically supports the following legacy components: 28F004S3/S5/SC, 28F008S3/S5/SC, 28F008SA/SA-L, 28F016S3/S5/SC, 28F016SA/SV, 28F032SA

  • Specifically supports all current and future CFI enabled devices including 28F320 and 28F640 Intel StrataFlash&#153 memory components, and 28F160 and 28F320 Word-Wide FlashFile&#153 memory components

  • For use in OEM code development for flash

  • Source code written in portable ANSI 'C'

  • License provides royalty-free and derivative rights when used with Intel flash
